Party Photos Continued

Just some more pictures from the party.

Party Time

We celebrated Sutton's birthday with family and friends on Saturday. We had lots of good food thanks to Pam, Sue, Aunt Kay, and my mom. It was nice to see Juston and Mellissa and their kids. It was also nicee to see my grandma Partee, this was the first time she has seen Sutton. Just as I set the cake in front of Sutton and we began singing, Nathan said you forgot the candle. From the experience he had on Wednesday we decided it was probably a good thing!! Thanks to everyone for all the great gifts, we are loving the books, tractors, and trucks!!!

The Big 1

Sutton turned 1 on Wednesday January 21st. After a nice meal of steak, cheesy rice, and broccoli we had an ice cream cake from Maggie Moo's. The stage was set, the candle was lit, and Nathan was ready with the camera. Sutton decided that he needed to explore what the bright light shining in front of him was. As he proceeded to touch the flame I attempted to grab his hand while not dropping the cake and in the mean time Nathan did his best to get a picture before the candle was out. While I was successful in not dropping the cake. Sutton was successful with putting the candle out with his fingertips. Nathan was also successful, he got a picture of Sutton's feet!!

Would This Be The Same As The Bath Tub

Anytime we open the dishwasher Sutton is there, either climbing in it or taking out dirty dishes.

On The Inside Looking Out

Sutton longs to go outside. Everytime one of us is outside blowing snow or playing with Leland he stands in the front window watching.

Monster Truck Mania

Nathan and Leland went to watch the "real"monster trucks at Ford Field last weekend. They went with one of Nathan's friends and his son. I asked Nathan to get a photo of Leland with Logan, but as you can see I got photo's of monster trucks. Oh well I guess thats what happens when you send a man to do a womans job!!!

And You Thought I was Taking A Nap

It is fun to spy on the boys when they are suppose to be napping. Sutton did not hear me as I watched him throw everything out of his crib. When I did realize I was there he thought he was pretty funny.

Is That You Billy Bob?

In the after math of Christmas Nathan and I decided that we needed to do some cleaning out. While cleaning out Leland's closet we came across this pacifier that Nathan's dad had bought. Of course Leland thought it was funny. We didn't think that Sutton would want anything to do with it because he has never taken a pacifier before, but as you can see we were wrong. Don't they look silly!!!?

Where Is The Heat and 4-Wheel Drive On This Machine?

Leland wants to be outside no matter what the weather. This day he was bound and determined that he was going to take his cozy coupe for a ride. He didn't seem to mind pushing it through the snow or the fact that there was no heat. Winston is looking at him like he is crazy.

Last Photo Of 2008

After all of our Christmas activities it was nice to just stay home and do nothing for the New Year. We were even in bed before midnight!!

Hold On!!!

I used to pull Leland around in this wagon, so it is only fitting that Sutton get pulled now. Leland thought it was great fun to see how fast he could pull. Thankfully, almost instinctively Sutton knew to hang on!!!!

Cutie On The Move

Sutton does not believe that there is anything off limits in the house, including the dog dishes, but isn't he cute!!!?

Standing Tall

Sutton seems to be newing things everday, which is exciting for us to see him growing!! While getting ready for church the Sunday before Christmas Sutton pulled himself to standing for the first time. Pulling to stand at the toilet probably wouldn't have been the chosen place to do this, but hey it's progress!!! Sutton has a huge interest in the stairs. Any chance he gets he goes straight to them. When he sees you coming to get him he tries to move quickly. Leland also likes that Sutton is climbing the stairs. As you can see by the photo Leland likes to encourage him from the 1st landing.

Honk, Honk!!!

Another one of Leland's favorite toys is this riding dump truck from my mom. It is complete with a horn and lots of other sounds. Sutton also thinks it is really neat, so neat in fact that he was swinging at Leland to keep him away from it!!! I think we will be referring real soon!!

Ooops I Forgot To Add These Christmas Photos

Nathan took the picture of him and Sutton as we were leaving his moms house. I am surprised that they are both still smiling!!

Christmas Day, By Now We have Really Lost Count!!

Christmas morning was fun with the kids. We first had to get our picture with all the things Ina and Christoph sent from Germany (well everything but all the yummy chocolates), thanks you guys!!! Next the kids opened gifts. Lelands favorite by far was the cow hauler filled with cows!!! Believe it or not by now Leland was actually losing interest in opening gifts, poor kid and he still had 3 celebrations to go. Nate and I both agreed that the kids got way to many things and the true meaning of Christmas was overlooked!! Sutton did ok opening gifts, but overall was not too interested. Of course Winston was very excited to open his gift, he even helped the kids!! After our family Christmas Leland and I went to my moms while Nate stayed with Sutton so he could finish his nap. Of course this meant more presents. After my moms house we headed to Nate's grandmas. After that we headed to Nate's moms for finally what was the last hurray and lots more presents. Wow, what a busy day!! Nathan and I are still digging, sorting, and organizing things. Needless to say we have a pretty big pile of things that we will be donating!!!

Christmas Eve (Christmas #3, But Who Is Counting)

We celebrated Christmas with my dad, step-mom, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew on Christmas Eve. Silly me forgot the camera. We were running extremely late that day and I walked out the door without it. My brother is supose to get me some pictures, but hasn't yet. After dinner and gifts we left to go to church.

Bakin' Cookies

I really wanted to make cookies this year, but Christmas was getting closer and closer and I had not yet baked any. So the day before Christmas Eve at 8:00 at night I decided I would make just one batch of peanut butter blossoms. Leland was excited to help. I think he ate more hersey kisses then he actually unwrapped, oh well. Everything was going well until Leland accidently spilled the bowl of sugar we were using to roll the balls of dough in. He really felt bad and I chalked the accident up to a photo opportunity!!

Christmas A'Plenty

We began our Christmas celebrations on December 21st with Nate's dad and step-mom. Sutton was pleased when he received a card, it was like he knew what was in it!!!! On December 22nd we celebrated with the rest of Pam's family.

I Thought It was Supose To Be Burying Your Head In The Sand, Not The Snow!!!

Winston still keeps us laughing, you would never guess that he is going to be 8 in March. Leland and I were outside and Leland was begging to go for a walk. We walked just to the corner because Sutton was sleeping and just as we were about to turn around Winston begins digging like a mad man in the snow and bury his nose as far as he could. With much begging he finally quit. We never did figure out what he was after, silly dog!!!

The Kapnick Elves

Both of the boys thought I needed help wrapping presents this year. Sutton of course was very interested in the scissors and laying on the boxes I was trying to wrap. Sutton was not injured in the capturing of this photo, but I thought we needed this picture!! Leland was very helpful with placing the presents under the tree once I had them wrapped. Of course he had to wear wrapping paper on his head, it wouldn't be Leland if he wasn't trying something on his head!! It was nice that I only had one helper at a time, while Leland was sleeping Sutton helped and while Sutton was sleeping Leland helped!!!!
