Pure Joy

Nothing is better than a Monday afternoon when daddy brings home new Tractor House books. The boys love looking at these magazines as you can see. They also make good bathroom reading material!!!

Water Park Revisited

We made another trip to the water park, this time with our friends the Wheatons. The boys had a great time just as we figured they would. This trip was a little more exciting than the first though. At 12:30 a.m. the fire alarm went off, this was a little nerve racking until we figured out what was going on. Someone on the floor below us had burnt some popcorn!! On Sunday before we left Leland and Sutton participated in a rubber duck race and Leland's duck won. He won a card with arcade credits on it. I am not sure how much he will enjoy this if we use it soon, let me explain. We went into the arcade Saturday night after dinner. Leland was playing on the motorcycle game, so I thought he might really like to play the game, so I bought enough credits to play one game. Once the credits were in the machine and he was really playing he got upset that I had messed up his game. If I had only known he would be more content to just pretend to play I could have saved $1.25, oh well!! And no one told Sutton that it is important to also be able to see where you are going when driving a car not just to mash the pedal for all its worth!!

It's Easter Eggs Silly, Not Goose Egg

I think Sutton was trying to prepare early for Easter last Friday. We were in the bedroom and the boys were chasing each other around the room, you can guess where this is going. Well a couple minutes later there is a loud crash followed by an even louder scream and crying. Sutton had somehow ran into the wall and managed to get a large colorful goose egg almost right between his eyes. These pictures don't really show what a nice goose egg it was, but thankfully it is already healed up.

Creativity At Its Best

You have to love the "new" uses that kids find for everyday items. This night Sutton decided that the salad spinner made a nice hat and the rolling pin worked perfectly for sweeping the floors.

Enjoying Every Last Bit

The boys did not want to miss out on this last little bit of snow that remained in our yard (this is now also long gone!!). Who knew it took tools to work in the snow? When Nathan got home he asked Sutton "what do you have?" Sutton replied "my tools". Nathan then asked "What are you doing with them?" Sutton replied "working on the snow". I guess at least he knows tools are used to fix things, maybe even things that don't need fixing!!!
