The First Picnic Of The Season
On one of my Friday's off at the beginning of May the weather wasn't too bad and the boys had been bugging to have a picnic, so that is what we did!! The kids enjoyed playing at the park. This park had a small creek with a bridge, so of course they loved that. I didn't get any pictures of that though because I could not trust them to stay out of the water long enough to get a photo!!
2nd Opinions and More Decisions
I am sure most of you are aware, but for those of you who aren't Nate and I decided at the end of May to cancel Sutton's surgery. We took him back to a surgeon that we have talked to in the past. This surgeon felt that we still have a good window of opportunity to repair his left hip. At this time Sutton is not having any mobility issues and the hip is not getting worse. Nate and I were already a little hesitant (knowing what the surgery would include), so we both agreed on the way to the car after this appointment that we would wait. When I spoke with Sutton's primary surgeon she was not in agreement at first, but the more we talked we came to a compromise. She feels that we should wait no longer than shortly after he turns 3, which would mean surgery next summer (if it doesn't get better on its own). Sutton goes back for another x-ray at the end of July, so we will know more then. The blue shorts in these photos came from the 2nd opinion surgeon. At first Sutton was not going to have anything to do with putting them on, but then we couldn't get him to take them off!! I asked one of the nurses if they kept the shorts and she said yes they wash them and reuse them. I then explained to her the situation and she said oh don't worry about it. Even once we got home he would not take them off, crazy kid!!!

Reading Buddies
I Just Have To Say
Boy I think that was the longest, most drawn out trip I have ever been on!!!! I am glad to finally have the Florida trip posts done so I can blog about other things!!!
Day 9: 3:00 am Wake Up Call
A 3:00 am wake up call ended our trip to Florida. Our plane home left at 6:00 am. It was either this or leave at 10:00 pm, and since Nate and I had to work the next day we opted for the 6:00 am flight. I think the kids were a little confused because it did seem like we had just gone to bed when we were getting up!!! The flight home was uneventful and thankfully Sutton slept most of the way. The boys were definitely wiped out when we got home!!

Day 8: One Last Beach Fix
Thankfully on our last day in Florida the sun was out in full force. We headed to the beach at Naples Pier. The weather couldn't have been better. The kids made a friend (an older boy from Ohio). He had fun entertaining the little ones and even found a crab for them. From the pier we were able to see lots of pelicans, sting ray, and dolphins. The sting ray were actually coming right up to shore! While we were there a fisherman caught a sting ray on his line.
Day 7: Rain Rain Go Away
Sorry, I don't have any pictures for this post. Day 8 was filled with rain, naps, and good pizza.

Wedding Bells
Nathan stood up in the wedding, he does clean up well doesn't he? Don't you love our attempt at a family photo?!!! Sutton had more fun running around then having his picture taken. By the end of the reception the boys were understandably tired, but I think Leland was also using this to his advantage. He just wanted to spend some time with a "real" farmer!!!
