Sap And Syrup
Last weekend we went to our first ever maple syrup festival with my dad and step-mom. The festival was complete with a delicious pancake breakfast, a horse drawn wagon ride, a lesson on how maple syrup is made, and maple syrup cotton candy. The boys couldn't have been happier because the fairground that held the festival was also the location of a cattle show. The boys enjoyed watching the cows get baths and all prettied up.

Nene Turns 10
We don't usually celebrate Winston's (aka: Nene) birthday on a large scale, but this year he turned 10 and thought we should do a little more for him. Winston does not as a rule get people food, except for what is dropped on the floor by the kids. His birthday was another story, he got cake and ice cream (we needed to have a reason to eat cake)!! I don't think he even really tasted what he was eating because it lasted a matter of only seconds. He of course loves the new toys because the squeakers work!!

Finally Some Outside Bike Riding
The boys have enjoyed riding bikes in the basement during the cold winter months, but we have finally started a slow warming trend and have been able to ride outside. Of course with this being the first ride outside the bikes needed lots of tune ups along the way. The only thing missing from this post is the sound effects of drills, air hoses, etc!!!

Frogs
The boys enjoyed a free event at a local elementary school recently. The event is sponsored by The Great Start Collaborative for early childhood development. We learned about these events from our friends the Denney's. This time the theme was frogs. The boys enjoyed listening to frog stories and songs, looking at real frogs, and doing several frog based activities.
Surprised!!
Nathan and the boys really did a nice job for my birthday this year!! After work we enjoyed a yummy dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Once back home we stuffed ourselves even more with a tasty Reese's Peanut Butter ice cream cake from one of our other favorite places, Maggie Moos. Nathan got me a beautiful tulip plant, which I am hoping to plant outside. We will see if it makes it I don't always have the best of luck with things like that!!!

One Last Sledding Adventure
With the temperatures warming we decided to hit the big hills for one last sledding adventure. The next couple days after we did this the snow all melted, but we have been surprised by more snow a couple times since then. As of right now we do not have any snow, but we are not holding our breath that we won't get any more!!
