Ready Or Not Here We Come 3rd Grade And 1st Grade

Here are some pictures I took of the boys to begin their 3rd and 1st grade experiences.  Aren't they handsome!

Run, Kick, Score

Sutton decided he wanted to play soccer again this fall.  I accidently signed him up for the wrong age group so for the first game he played with kiddos much younger than him.  Thankfully we were able to switch to an older team for the remainder of the games.  Sutton loves sports and is not afraid to get in there and get the job done!!

Mr. Dare Devil

Sutton had what is probably his worst injury to date.  I was taking the dog for a walk and Sutton decided he would ride his bike while Nate and Leland were at football practice.  We got just down the road where there happens to be a steep hill.  Sutton decided he would get going as fast as he could and then try to pop a wheelie.  He accomplished the first part of his goal, but as you can see he did not land the wheelie.  Thankfully he did not get hurt any worse than he did and after a good cleaning his chin was able to heal without any medical intervention.

The Puppa Keeps Growing

Winchester continues to get bigger and bigger.

Have Mud Will Play

If there is ever any mud around the kids find it and you see the result!!

Ready, Aim, Fire

Since Leland got his first hunting license we get correspondence from the DNR regarding kid friendly events.  This event ended up being near our house.  Unfortunately Leland wasn't able to go because it was at the same time as his first football practice.  Sutton still wanted to go so that's what we did.  Sutton got to shoot a variety of guns.  He even tried his hand at clay pigeons.  He checked out the DNR truck and of course had to make sure it was a Chevy!

All Things Outdoors

Both of the boys have expressed an interest in hunting.  Back in September Pheasants Forever sponsored a youth day at a local state park.  The kids were able to shoot compound bows, long bows, and cross bows.  They also tried their hand at a fishing pole casting game and throwing hatchets.  They also got to see some cool birds from a local bird sanctuary.
