Iowa Or Bust

We headed out to Iowa for a visit with my brother, Kristy, Skylar, and Coltin.  A great time was had by all.  Nate enjoyed our trip to the world's largest truck stop!!  We enjoyed our cave adventure.  Skylar kept us and all the customers at the ice cream shop entertained with his Spiderman mask!

Congrats To Amy and James

Nate's sister Amy was married at the end of June.  It had to be the hottest day of the entire summer!!!  Despite that, the wedding was very nice!

Hopefully A Glimpse Of Whats To Come

One day as I stood packing in preparation of our move I spotted this baby robin on the rocks out back.  I would like to think this baby robin was a sign especially to me that things are going to be ok!!  It is was a sign of new life and a new journey, even if we don't yet know where our journey is taking us at this time!

The Big 12

Leland rung in his 12th birthday with dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and cake at home.  Not a bad birthday at all, I would say!!

A Visit To The Capitol

With Leland having surgery 4 days before his birthday this year he was unable to have his birthday party as planned.  So our plan B was a trip to the capitol building.  Before touring the capitol we visited the Michigan History Museum.

The Annual Visit With Katy

Nate's Aunt Geryl, Uncle Steve, and cousin Katy were here from Pennsylvania in early July.  The boys always love seeing her.  We were able to spend some time on the lake with them.

Our Favorite Place To Be!!!

We were lucky enough to have a baseball tournament in Traverse City this year for Leland's team.  This is by far one of our favorite areas to visit.  This trip was supose to be a family trip, but Sutton ended up having a ball tournament close to home and didn't want to miss it.  Leland and I made the trek on our own.  We of course took the long way and made a stop in Leland and Suttons Bay.  One of Lee's team mates shared our hotel room with his mom, so on Saturday before playing ball we ventured to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.
