A Whale Of A Birthday Present
Leland took boaters safety in the spring 2018 and when he turned 12 in July would be able to drive a boat on his own. We thought it would be fun to get him a Boston Whaler. Our favorite neighbor Mr. McGee just happened to have one that he was willing to sell.
The 2nd Injury
I just realized I never posted the pictures of Leland's second injury from the summer 2018. Roughly three weeks after being out of his cast from the broken bone on the pink side of his hand Leland decided he should top that!!! This time he was playing football at Nana's house with a soft football and some how broke the ring finger on his left hand. This break would require 3 screws to get put back into place. So Leland headed to surgery 4 days before his 12th birthday. Thankfully everything went well and after several weeks of occupational therapy his finger is back to normal.
A View From The East Side Of The State
Early in August 2018 we ventured to the most North Eastern town in Michigan called Port Austin. We got in plenty of kayaking. The highlight of the trip was kayaking to Turnip Rock!
