HIPS HIPS HOORAY!!!
Sutton went for his 3 month hip check up at the end of January. Finally some encouraging words!!!! His hip and femur bone angles are now falling within the normal range and we don't have to go back for another check-up for a whole 6 months. The doctor was sure to remind us that because he is a boy she still can't say what the future holds, but for now things are looking good!! He continues to wear a brace at naps and bedtime. This same day Sutton also went for his 1 year check-up with the pediatrician. He now weighs 19.3 lbs, which puts him in the 5th percentile and is 30 inches long, which puts him in the 75 percentile. We got more good news on Feb. 3rd when Sutton went back for his 1 year cardiology appointment to follow up on the ventral septal defect that was discoverd when he was 7 days old. The cardiologist felt certain that the hole had closed, she did hear a slight murmur now, but was not worried. We will follow up with the cardiologist in 1 year just to be sure. We are glad to have all of these doctor appointments out of the way!! Sutton is not yet walking, but he is cruising around the furniture. He has also recently been enjoying walking behind his pushing walker toy. Along with this post are the pictures we had taken for Sutton's 1st birthday, hope you enjoy!! Well I have tried 4 times to add the photos to this post and for some reason it won't let me, so if I figure it out I will add them later, sorry.
