I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my birthday weekend than snowmobiling with my family in Cadilac. Leland had been bugging to ride Nate's snowmobile and I had really been suffering from snowmobiling withdrawl (I haven't been able to go since before getting pregnant with Leland) so we decided to take a road trip. Sue, Dean, and Flave (a friend that Nate works with) joined us. We arrived late Friday night, after a long car ride (this was definetly not the part that Leland enjoyed the most). On the way there I realized that we had forgotten to bring the pack n play, but it actually worked out great, the hotel had one that we could use. Leland was like a little king laying in the king sized bed. On Saturday morning after our breakfast we got ourselves bundled up and headed out. It seems that not many things go smoothly these days, so was true this morning. Just as we were getting ready to go I asked Nate what he had done with his trail sticker. His response was, I left it in the car. So he and Leland attempted to make their way to the car. On the way Nate had a little trouble and before he knew it he and Leland were on the ground and the snowmobile was on its side. Well thank goodness that was the only tipped sled for the day. Leland made it a whopping 27.5 miles, we were impressed. By that time his poor little head could no longer hold up his helmet. So it was Nana to the rescue, her and Sutton came to pick him up at the gas station where we had stopped. We continued riding the rest of the day, it was so great!! Once back at the hotel we had a little dinner and then made our way to the pool. Only one mishap here!! Leland was sitting on the edge of the pool with me and I looked away for literally a second and I hear a splash and down he goes. He was ok just a little shook up. He even mangaed to hang onto the piece of gum he was chewing. The next morning as we were packing up Sutton decided to be his usually hammy self and play around with Nate's hat, too cute!! We then had another long car ride home, Leland didn't decide to go to sleep until we were about a half an hour from home!!
