Insect Safari
The boys and I headed out to a nearby state park for a class on insects. Since our weather has been so dry and the day we went was really hot we really did not find many insects out. However, this did not slow them down on having a good time. The instructor took us out on a small dock that had railings all around it. Sutton being the investigator that he is thought he saw an insect in the water and decided to reach for it. This might not have been so bad, however he had also found the only section of dock that had no railing and you can guess what happened next. In the water he went and of course Leland and I were out near the end of the dock looking for other insects. Thankfully the water was only about waist deep and another dad happened to be standing right there. When he came out of the water he literally had seaweed in his shoes and hair (the water was pretty gross!!). After that he was a bit grumpy and didn't want me to take his picture. Needless to say I got one and he had to ride home naked.
