Kitchen Science

I have been trying to spark an interest in the area of science for the kids.  We have been doing mini science experiments in the kitchen.  It has been fun watching the kids get excited about the experiments.  I have been excited because they are remembering the experiments and have been able to apply elements from one experiment to a totally different experiment.  I love that they are able to come up with ways to change our experiment to come up with something new!  These experiments have also been a way for me to get in some writing and problem solving skills!  The 2 experiments below are cleaning pennies/learning about copper oxide and dancing raisins/learning about carbon dioxide.
