The summer was long, but short at the same time. It seemed once July got here the time flew! Overall I think the boys were ready to get back to school if for no other reason to see their friends.

A Beautiful Weekend Of Labor
We could not have asked for a better last weekend before going back to school!! It was perfect lake weather. So that's what we did and enjoyed every minute of it!!
One Ham And One Slug Preparing For The First Day Of School 2015
Sutton is always my willing picture participant. These pictures were no exception. He wanted to keep taking pictures and Leland could hardly stand to be done.

Bells Will Be Ringing..... School Bells That Is
It is hard to believe, but here we are at Labor Day weekend!! We truly had an awesome summer! Going to Tennessee, playing travel ball, summer camp, celebrating the 4th, a Tigers game, swim lessons, Up North, Iowa, tubing, swimming, hanging out with friends, movies, etc. I guess all good things must come to an end though. I went back to work last week for 3 days and the boys will start school on Tuesday, only 2 more days! Thankfully we are having great weather to send summer out with a bang! Last Tuesday was the back to school picnic. We dropped off all our school supplies and said hello to our new (well for Leland at least) teachers, Mrs. Mapes and Ms. Kasper. Sutton will have the same teacher as he did last year. She had the opportunity to move to second grade and he was lucky enough to get her again!!
Can You Change The Density Of Water?
The boys and I recently set out to answer this question. To do this we used only water and a bag of skittles. We dissolved 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 skittles each in a different jar each with the same amount of water. Once all the skittles were dissolved we poured the water into one jar starting with the most dissolved skittles to the least. This part proved to be tricky, you needed to be extremely slow. Some of our water stacked on top as it was suppose to, but some of it also mixed together. So we did learn that you can in deed change the density of water!
