Leland and Suttons Bay have been come familiar places to us, yet remain one of our favorite areas to travel to!! This year was no exception. The weather was a bit cooler than the last time we were there, but that didn't slow us down any. The boys enjoyed searching for Petoskey stones and blue Leland at Vans Beach in Leland. We only walked away with 4 Petoskey stones, but found quite a bit of blue Leland. They also found a few pieces of beach glass. We also ventured out on a guided horse ride. This was lots of fun. The boys of course could hardly stand themselves when one of the horses had to go to the bathroom. Sutton's horse gave them some big laughs with its farting. Sutton rode Taco, Leland rode Captain, Nate rode Maggie, and I rode Biscuit. We also enjoyed the usual's: Moomer's ice cream, playing putt-putt in Traverse City, going to the beach at Empire, and strolling through Leland and Sutton's Bay. It was also nice to spend time with Aunt Carol and Shelia. They bought head lamps for the boys, which were of course a big hit and continue to be so!! They also taught the boys a new card game, which was fun to play in the evenings. Another great trip Up North stored away in the memory books!!
